My apologies for the delay in providing this particular post.
The Antichrist, or dragon, who at the time of the tribulation holds great sway in the political and financial realms, his cohort the beast whom he has recommended, (See part 1) and the influential power of the false prophet drawn from the history of the church of which he is the head. This church which at the time in history of which I am writing will have grown to include all forms of Roman Catholicism, and been amalgamated with other powerful mainline churches through the ecumenical movement which is already influencing many today.
This amalgamation of churches will in fact be the apostate church of the period. Or in other words, it will be a church which will have deliberately fallen away from, and deliberately rebelled against, Christian truth. It instead will believe in, and teach the great delusion spoken of in my previous posts...
For those who may doubt what I say please look back to that period following the fall of
A.D.476. This period overflowed with the blood of those who were martyred by the corrupt Church of Rome. Also, following the Massacre of St. Bartholomew’s Day, which occurred August 24, 1572 it is alleged that the Pope ordered a Te Deum [a hymn of praise] to be sung (Fisher 1890, 339). For further insight into this event you may wish to look up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Bartholomew's_Day_massacre
Remember that these two beasts derive their power from, and work with the dragon in opposition to God. In this manner they will continue to persecute the true Christians and also influence the nations to gather at the battle of Armageddon until eventually defeated by Christ, both the false prophet and the beast from the sea will eventually be thrown into the lake of fire as we read of in .
