The mystery of “The two beasts” of Revelation Part 2...

My apologies for the delay in providing this particular post.

As we now turn to the second beast we discover that this time he is “coming up out of the earth; and he has two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.”  Revelation 13:11
The beast in this case, although similar to the first beast, in that it too is aligned with the Antichrist and has the same powers as the first, (see Rev 13:12) does not come out of the seething mass of humanity or sea, but rather from the earth.  It arrives from a power which has held many in the world in it’s thrall since it’s inception as an amalgamation of  pagan Rome, degenerate Christianity in it’s day, and pagan rites.

It is of the earth, earthly, of the flesh fleshly, and has all the lusts, limitations and desires of the flesh, as has been shown in it’s fruits which have most recently become apparent in it’s ranks.

The second beast arrives as we read in Revelation 1, 3 looking like a lamb.
(It will in fact be a counterfeit of the true lamb) but in this case it speaks as the dragon.  He will confirm the great delusion, and convince people through his ability to do great and wonderful things, even bringing fire down from heaven by which he deceives those who dwell on the earth.  We read for example; “by means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword and did live.” (See Rev. 13:14)

For those used to having images in their churches and in their homes.  For those who have been brought up on false miracles and visitations.  For those who do not find it strange to pray before images, and to dead saints this will not seem strange.  Then others seeing the great power of this person will also be deceived, for we are now seeing manifested the counterfeit trinity, the unholy trinity of the Antichrist, the beast and the false prophet.

The Antichrist, or dragon, who at the time of the tribulation holds great sway in the political and financial realms, his cohort the beast whom he has recommended, (See part 1)  and the influential power of the false prophet drawn from the history of the church of which he is the head.  This church which at the time in history of which I am writing will have grown to include all forms of Roman Catholicism, and been amalgamated with other powerful mainline churches through the ecumenical movement which is already influencing many today.

This amalgamation of churches will in fact be the apostate church of the period. Or in other words, it will be a church which will have deliberately fallen away from, and deliberately rebelled against, Christian truth. It instead will believe in, and teach the great delusion spoken of in my previous posts...
For those who may doubt what I say please look back to that period following the fall of Rome in A.D. 476.  This period overflowed with the blood of those who were martyred by the corrupt Church of Rome.  Also, following the  Massacre of St. Bartholomew’s Day, which occurred August 24, 1572 it is alleged that the Pope ordered a Te Deum [a hymn of praise] to be sung (Fisher 1890, 339). For further insight into this event you may wish to look up:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Bartholomew's_Day_massacre

You will notice also, that the second beast is subordinate to the first and encourages those under it’s sway to worship the first beast (see Rev 13:12) It also encourages them to make an image, or an idol of the beast which all on the earth would be required to worship.   Revelation 13:15 reads:  “And he (the false prophet) had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” At that time this idol would be animated and empowered to speak and cause those who would not worship him to be killed.  (This confused many in times past but can be better understood today.)

There would also be a requirement that all on the earth should have the mark of the beast on their right hand or forehead.  Without this they could no longer buy or sell.  They would loose all the power of their finances, and could no longer subsist without begging or depending on others to provide for them, even as they are being hunted down and killed for their refusal to worship the beast.  Also, of course those who worshipped the beast would be in great danger for assisting those who would not worship it, and would bring tremendous pressure on the resistors to follow their example.

I can understand that some find it hard to believe that the world could be deceived in this way, but this satanic prophet will indeed do so, for even today there are those who are swayed by the lies of the Antichrist, and who will during these terrible times, come feel that they have been proven right by what has happened.

Remember that these two beasts derive their power from, and work with the dragon in opposition to God. In this manner they will continue to persecute the true Christians and also influence the nations to gather at the battle of Armageddon until  eventually  defeated by Christ,  both the false prophet and the beast from the sea will eventually be thrown into the lake of fire as we read of in Revelation 19:18-20.

As in my previous post Part 1, I want to strongly encourage you to send me comments on what has been written or any questions you have.  I am not foolish enough to believe I have all the answers, but I know God does, and that as we diligently search His Word He will reveal the truth.  Please read Revelation chapter 13 and sincerely ask God to reveal to you what you should know!
Also remember, to avoid the horrors to come, and instead enjoy even today a peace beyond understanding,  you can even now turn to Jesus, accept His love and grace and the gift of eternal life He has offered.  Why not ask Him into your heart today?

May God bless you!
